A.K.A. Jamie Cook, I am a videographer / audio engineer / musician based in Newcastle upon Tyne, UK.

I studied at Newcastle University graduating in 2015 with a First Class BMus Honours in Music, specialising in electronics and composition. This included a research year in Sonic Arts at Adelaide University (Australia).

My work seeks advance the creative application of technology, bridging the gap between innate human creativity and the use of new media for creation. Using installation, live performance, film and audio-media, I look to bring people together through explorative and engaging work.

Interdisciplinary collaboration is a cornerstone of my practise, seeking to develop new relationships between people and mediums. This has lead me to take on roles such as Artistic Director of Cooking With Three (improvised dance/sound/visuals forum and performance group), Committee Member of PUG (radical variety performance night) and Co-Director of The Occasion Collective (creating and curating new work in art/music/performance) between Jan and Nov 2017.

Some organisations I have worked with include BALTIC, The BBC, Dance City, Laing Art Gallery, NICAP, The Newbridge Project, and Inner Totality Family.

I currently teach electronic performance and composition at Newcastle University's Music Department.
